Visum Photo Viewer focuses on its namesake, viewing photos. It's definitely worth a try, especially since it's free. I preferred Visum Photo Viewer over the Microsoft Photos app for my workflow, which consists of browsing through hundreds of photos to pick out a few that I like. But it's called Visum Photo Viewer not Visum Photo Editor, so its feature set isn't surprising. You can only perform basic image edits, and the app lacks a video editor, even for trimming content. Visum Photo Viewer is light on the editing side of things. Its design is easy to navigate, and you can customize the interface a bit to fit your liking.
It loads photos quickly and allows you to browse through galleries without bogging down your machine. If you handle a lot of images, then Visum Photo Viewer is a solid choice. This view is best for browsing through a set of pictures to find the ones you want to work with and for applying the same edit to multiple pictures at once.Source: Windows Central (Image credit: Source: Windows Central) Thumbnail view This view displays miniatures of the pictures in the selected folders so you can see and work with many pictures at once. Which view is best to use depends on how many pictures you need to see at once and how much detail you need to see for each picture. Picture Manager has three options for viewing your pictures: Thumbnail, Filmstrip, and Single Picture. The Edit Pictures task pane is where the editing tools are located that enable you to make corrections to your pictures. You can change how they appear by selecting options on the Views toolbar. The preview pane is where the pictures display. The Picture Shortcuts pane is where you add shortcuts to folders that contain the pictures you want to work with. For Windows 10 we recommend using the Photos app that you can install for free from the Microsoft Store in Windows. Note: Picture Manager is not supported in Office 2013 and later versions.
